Whether it follows a move or a loss, emptying a home is heavy work. A good estate sale company handles it with care and gets fair value for the things worth selling.
A bad one leaves a family feeling picked over. We don’t run sales ourselves — we only introduce you to the first kind.
How we help
- We explain your options: full estate sale, online auction, consignment, buyout, or straight donation and clean-out.
- We can provide information on independent companies we know and have seen treat families and their belongings well.
- We help you understand typical commission structures before you sign anything.
- We help you plan timing around the move, the listing date, or probate.
Resources we can point you to
These are independent providers and resources we know or have vetted. They contract directly with you and deliver the service themselves — our role is helping you identify the right fit.
- Estate sale and online auction companies
- Appraisers for jewelry, coins, firearms, art, and collectibles
- Consignment shops and donation programs
- Clean-out and haul-away crews to leave the house broom-clean
The honest part: our role, cost, and how this works
We charge nothing, and any sale is conducted by the independent company you contract with. Estate sale companies usually take a commission on sales — commonly around 30% to 40% locally — and may charge for clean-out if a sale doesn’t cover it. Get it in writing; we’ll help you read it.
Questions families ask
Sometimes yes, sometimes a buyout plus donation nets more after fees. We'll give you an honest read before you commit.
Always. Pull anything sentimental out first, then let the company work with what's left.
